| Mr David Woolgar |
 | One of the more recent life members David first played cricket for Groombridge as a schoolboy and was for a few seasons junior in a useful village side. He developed into a more than useful medium pace bowler. He was also more than competent wicket keeper until an eye injury, whilst on tour in the Dorset area, made wicket keeping less advisable. Once again David held various offices in the club and succeeded Ian Stephenson as Chairman. He had a big input into the coaching and organisation of the junior cricket and would always supports his brother Terry on the ground. Still an enthusiastic supporter and umpire David typifies village cricketers at their best. |
