 | Gerry, who had a trial for Sussex CCC in the late 40’s is a contemporary of Frank Manktelow and originally played for Hartfield CC as did his brother Tony. Gerald’s contribution to GCC included many years as secretary and committee member and he was always in support of working parties and new projects. Gerald was an economic medium paced bowler; a useful bat and many appreciated his dry humour. Gerry still watches games on a regular basis and continues to live in Old Groombridge. |
