 | Brian joined the club in 1963 and although he was a resident of Crowborough was a loyal village cricketer with GCC till the end of his career. Feared throughout the local villages as a medium paced left armer Brian bowled most economically and was once described by an opposition player as “cycling in from the road end” a reference to his peddling approach to the wicket. Again a loyal servant to the club Brian was match secretary for many years, secretary, who was noted for “holding letters”, committee man, and vice chairman and was one who featured in the 1982 TV film. |
